INTRA CITY TRANSPORT
Aurangabad has a Municipal Corporation owned and privately operated intra-city bus service named Aurangabad Municipal Transport (AMT) , AMT buses cover almost all parts of the city in an efficient and affordable manner carrying thousands of people to and fro their workplace along with students and other travelers. AMT also connects the city centres and important locations to its distant industrial suburbs on the outskirts of the city. The main Bus Terminus for AMT buses include Aurangpura, Railway Station, Shahgunj, Baba Petrol Pump, CIDCO, Central Bus Stand (CBS), Chikalthana, Gadiyavihar, Harsool etc.

Maharashtra state road transport Corporation (MSRTC) buses provide service to all parts of state from Aurangabad Central Bus Stand (CBS) and CIDCO Bus Stand, along with many private bus operators mainly based at Adalat Road ,Kranti Chowk or CIDCO.

Metered auto-rickshaws ply throughout the city. The fare is based on meter and is computed by a tariff card available with the driver.

AIR
Aurangabad has its own domestic airport (soon it will be iternational,construction work is in progress) on the outskirts of the city called Chikalthana airport. Air India, Jet Airways, Kingfisher and Deccan have a number of regular flights from Mumbai to Aurangabad along with a daily fight connecting Delhi operated by Air India and Jet Airways. The nearest international airports are Mumbai and Pune.

RAIL
Aurangabad is a Railway Station of South-Central railway on Manmad - Secunderabad section. The city has direct rail links to New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad.

The superfast Janashatabdi Express is the fastest and most comfortable train option to and from Mumbai having a total traveling time of 6 1/2 hours and convenient timings. Two overnight trains namely Devagiri Express, and Latur Express along with two day trains Tapovan Express and Nandigaram Express also ply between Mumbai and Aurangabad on a daily basis.
